At Bloom, your wellbeing comes first — and that includes your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the trusted services we rely on to keep Bloom running. By using the Bloom app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to give you a warm, personalised experience:

• Account information — your name or display name, email address, and the unique Bloom friend code generated for your account.
• Wellness content you create — mood check-ins, daily tasks and streaks, gratitude journal entries, and focus session activity.
• Companion progress — which companions you've discovered and how they've grown alongside your habits.
• Social activity — friend connections and the cheers you send and receive.
• Subscription details — your Bloom Plus plan status and billing records (payment card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers).
• Device & usage data — basic technical information such as app version and crash reports, used to keep Bloom stable.

How We Use Your Information

• To sync your journal, streaks, moods, and companions across your devices.
• To enable friend codes, cheers, and social features.
• To process and manage your Bloom Plus subscription.
• To improve the app, fix bugs, and develop new companions and scenes.
• To send important account or service notices (you can opt out of non-essential messages anytime).

Where Your Data Is Stored

We use carefully chosen, industry-standard providers to store and process your information securely:

Supabase hosts our database and authentication. Your account details and the wellness content you create in Bloom (moods, tasks, journal entries, streaks, companion progress, and friend connections) are stored securely in Supabase, protected by encryption in transit and at rest and by row-level security so that you can only access your own data. Stripe processes all Bloom Plus payments. When you subscribe, your payment card information is collected and stored directly by Stripe under its PCI-DSS-compliant systems — Bloom never sees or stores your full card number. We retain only a customer reference and your subscription status. You can read Stripe's privacy practices at stripe.com/privacy.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with the service providers above (Supabase and Stripe) to the extent needed to operate Bloom, or where required by law. Friend-related information (like your display name and streak) is only visible to people you connect with via your friend code.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and wellness content are removed from our Supabase database, and your Stripe subscription is cancelled. Some records may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at bloomcontactsupport@pm.me and we'll be happy to help.

Children's Privacy

Bloom is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know within the app or by email. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

Terms of Service

Welcome to Bloom! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bloom mobile app and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Bloom, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Using Bloom

Bloom is a personal wellness and productivity companion. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree to use Bloom lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems.

Your Account

To use certain features, you'll create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity under your account. Please let us know promptly at bloomcontactsupport@pm.me if you suspect unauthorised use.

Your Content

The moods, journal entries, tasks, and other content you create in Bloom belong to you. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this content solely to provide the app's features (for example, syncing it across your devices via our secure database). We don't claim ownership of your personal reflections.

Bloom Plus Subscriptions

• Bloom Plus is available as a Monthly (A$11.99/month) or Annual (A$48.99/year) subscription. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms where applicable.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your account or app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.

Free & Premium Features

Bloom offers core features for free and additional features (such as all companions, exclusive scenes, and custom backgrounds) through Bloom Plus. We may change which features are free or premium over time, and we'll aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

Acceptable Use

When using social features like friend codes and cheers, please be kind and respectful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that engage in harassment, abuse, or other harmful behaviour.

Wellness Disclaimer

Bloom is designed to support healthy habits and reflection. It is not a medical or mental-health service and is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support service.

Service Availability

We work hard to keep Bloom running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bloom is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.

Termination

You may stop using Bloom and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Bloom after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

What we can help with

Here are the sorts of things people usually write in about. If your question isn’t listed, send it anyway — we’re happy to help.

Help us solve it faster

You don’t need to include all of this — but the more you can tell us, the more likely we are to fix things on the first reply instead of asking follow-up questions.

1. The email address on your Bloom account — so we can find you. If you’re writing from a different address, mention that too.
2. What happened, and what you expected instead. Even one line helps: “I checked in on Tuesday but my streak reset to zero.”
3. When it happened — the date and rough time, especially for streaks, cheers, and billing questions.
4. Your device and versions — e.g. iPhone 14, iOS 18.2, Bloom 1.4. You’ll find the app version at the bottom of the Settings screen.
5. A screenshot or screen recording if you can — it’s often the fastest way for us to spot the problem.
6. For billing questions — the date of the charge and your receipt from Apple or Stripe. Never send us your full card number.

Before you write

A few things worth trying first — they resolve a good share of what reaches our inbox:

• Missing Plus features? Make sure you’re signed into Bloom with the same account you subscribed with, then fully close and reopen the app.
• Something not syncing? Check your internet connection and pull to refresh — syncing can lag briefly after you’ve been offline.
• App behaving strangely? Make sure you’re on the latest version from the App Store; we ship fixes regularly.
